I have always loved animas, but there always had been some problems, why I couln`t have them. When my daughter was a small girl, she wished to have a little animal at home. I was in fear of my little daughter would cuddle the kittens too much and it could be traumating for them. My husband didn’t want to have any animals at home. But I gave my daughter a tiny hamster as a presen, when she got her first school report. She was very happy. He raked all around the flat, but sometimes it caused some damage too, because it tried to gnaw almost everything - curtains, rags, sofa, etc. But I have always dreamed about my sweet cat, but my husband didn´t want to agree. I visited once one breeder who had Main Coons and I fell in love whit Scottish Fold with a lovely name Petruska. My husband gave me many reasons why not to buy a kitten for us. Eventually I agreed with him and we didn´t buy any kitten. My daughter loved pet shops and once we saw a sweet small baby rabbit. We stroked it and finally we bought it. It was a small rabbit girl with long overhung ears. She was the most beautiful creature in the world. Unfortunately she got seriously ill and soon died when she was only 15 months old. She had a carcinoma. We were very sad and cried a lot. At that time I decided to buy a kitten. I remembered nice Scottish Fold Petruska came in my haed.  I started to study some literature about cats. I´ve have these books in my bookcase, because all my life I have been interested in cats. I´ve read about a lot of breeds of cats, about their personality, appearance, care of them ….. I´ve chosen Ragdolls especially for their character and I started to investigate where I could buy the cat. I contacted five breeders in the Czech Republic and I decided for a kitten from Eulalie* CZ cattery, whose owner is Eva Langpaulova. I knew only a little about ragdolls, but I fell in love with blue ragdolls. They have silky silver-and-blue coat and bright blue eyes…. Who could resist. My friends talked me out of buying these cats, because they have higher price, but I was sure and had already decided. Ragdoll is going to be the best cat friend for our family.

Naše malá chovatelská stanice vlastní zatím tři ragdolly. Dvě kočičky a budoucího krycího kocourka. Kočičky se jmenují Bereniké Kiwi´s Eulalie a Cleopatra BlueKiwi´s Eulalie. Pocházejí z českého chovu, ale po importovaných rodičích, jen Bereničina maminka je z českých chovů. Jsou polosestry a mají předky ve starých amerických a anglických liniích. Kocourek je z Itálie, ale také pochází z původních amerických linií. Jmenuje se Silmarilions Nandor. Two are girls and one is a future stud boy. The first girl calls Bereniké Kiwi`s Eulalie and the second calls Cleopatra BlueKiwi`s Eulalie. They are from the Czech cattery, but their parents are imported from New Zealand and from Germany. Only Bereniké`s mother comes from the Czech Republic. They are half-sisters and their ancestors come from old American and English breeds. Our boy comes from Italy and he comes also from old American and English breeds. His name is Silmarilions Nandor. Our first ragdoll is a girl ? cat Bereniké Kiwis`s Eulalie, which we bought in June 2002 from Eulalie cattery. She is lovely a bluepoint girl. Bereniké was our first beloved kitten

We have also had another hobby...

We make ceramics and we have our little sculptures at home. Our favourite topic is a cat. We have several cats in our flat on a table, on shelves etc. They are sculptures which we don`t want to sell, because we enjoy them. Berenike used to be at home alone sometimes and we always saw her close to one of ceramics cat made by my daughter Marta. Bereniké hugged the sculpture like her best friend…. And suddenly it wasclear: She couldn`t stay alone.

We drove for our second girl in September 2002. It was Cleopatra BlueKiwi`s Eulalie ? blue mitted ragdoll.

My daughter was the happiest of us, because our new kitten chose her as `mom `. Our girls looked like two snakes. They hissed and I didn`t sleep the whole first night, because I was afraid that they could hurt each other. All my friends, who have cats, told me that my girls needed time to be come friends. It was getting better and better and finally after one week they slept together and they cleaned each other coats. Now they are best friends. If I go to see the vet with the first cat, the second one even cries and doesn`t want to be at home without the first one. I have to put her to a carrier and we all go together. At least she has to be weighed. It is really urgent for her. 
In September 2003 we imported our stud boy from Italy. He is called Silmarilions Nandor - seal mitted. He comes from Rome from the Silmarilions cattery of Federica Guagnano. He is our stud boy and we hope that matting of our girls and this Italian jewel will be a happy choice. 

 

Mrs. Federica started breeding ragdolls in 1993. Her breeds have roots in cattery of Ann Baker (Ragedy Ann cattery). The cattery name is taken from Silmarillion book and all their kittens` names are taken from Silmarillon or Lord of the Rings. Ragdolls are her huge passion and her husband shares her hobby with her. Federica has exported ragdolls from all over the world. She has also exported some kittens to the U.S.A. The most important for her is the character of the kittens. Our Nandor is the first Italian ragdoll in the Czech Republic.

We imported a new breeding pair from the top USA cattery. We have now a lilac male and a chocolate tortie female. More information in the page OUR RAGDOLLS.
